Partner of DJM. Attorney-at-law (radca prawny). Associated with DJM since the beginning of its existence. For many years he has been managing successfully the litigation practice. He is also an expert in bankruptcy and restructuring law, and contracts law. In his practice covering a broad spectrum of proceedings Mr Chełstowski specialises in business litigations. He successfully managed and manages many court and arbitration proceedings with the involvement of financial institutions and companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He effectively represented DJM clients in cases resolved by the Supreme Court and the Supreme Administrative Court. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, for many years he has been effectively advising and representing clients with respect to the initiation and conduct of restructuring proceedings, the negotiation of restructuring terms and conditions and arrangement proposals, as well as the structuring of highly complicated contracts, and also court and out-of-court settlements. He is an author of numerous studies and legal opinions in precedent cases. He has a profound experience in advising clients from the financial sector. Mr Chełstowski graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He also completed, inter alia, postgraduate studies of European Law on the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and a course of American law in the Centre of American Law at the University of Warsaw. He is fluent in English.
