Since 2001 he has been advising in the area of trading in financial instruments, with special regard to regulations on undertakings for collective investment. Mr Masiarz has created one of the most strongly active teams of lawyers dealing with the issues of investment funds in Poland. He is an author of numerous solutions that have been applied on the market of investment funds for many years. He has a profound experience in the advice for investment fund management companies, banks, investment firms and other entities operating on the Polish and European capital market. A number of structures developed on the basis of practice followed by Tomasz Masiarz is functioning currently on the Polish market in the majority of investment fund management companies. He supervises a team of lawyers who participated in the creation of many structures and models of operation of pioneer nature. He is successful in representing entities from the capital market in numerous proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. He was involved in the establishment of a dozen or so investment fund management companies and several hundred investment funds. For many years Mr Masiarz has been giving training courses and lectures for Postgraduate Studies on the Law of Capital Market at the Warsaw School of Economics. He acted many times as a speaker at conferences and seminars devoted to capital markets and investment funds. He is a co-author of international series of publications, published by Chambers and Partners and Thomson Reuters.
